I am proud to announce several of my photos have been chosen for the new issue of Bride and Bloom magazine! To be featured with so many awesome photographers is quite an honor. The magazine is dedicated to all those little details that make each wedding so special. If you have not seen this magazine yet it's a must! I have a few copies in the studio, feel free to come by and grab one!

Today is my birthday and the only reason I'm even posting is so I can share this great card from my grandmother.
I'm very lucky to have my grandmother in my life as I don't know too many friends who still have grandparents who are living -- nevermind with as much personality as mine!
I will admit, I am not the best grandson when it comes to sending letters or making phone calls and obviously, this is evident by my grandmother's note. Just so you don't think I'm a terrible person, I called my grandmother today and said that her forgiveness would be the best present I could get!
Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai are finally engaged after months of feverish speculation about their relationship, their families said on Monday.
If you are a follower of Bollywood films then you most certainly know of Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Ra. And while I am not an avid Bollywood movie follower, I love to watch these movies now and again. When my wife and I lived in Westchester they would feature one of these films on a local channel on Saturday mornings and we were hooked. Since then, they have started to offer them "on demand" through the Comcast network. What I love about these films is the dancing, color and DRAMA these films offer. The movies are often like one giant "dream sequence" and the plots often include weddings. So you can see why they appeal to me. And when I saw these two stars got engaged last week while in NYC I was very excited! :)
After the popularity of the Chrissy Popadics and Ian Johnson's blog post, I have decided to add fabulous engagements to the blog this year. From what I read, Aishwarya and Abhishek have secured a hotel right here in NYC for their upcoming wedding.
Aishwarya and Abhishek - if you are reading this - I'd be honored to photograph your wedding! Good luck with the new movie!!
Here is a news piece on the Times Square premiere of his new movie Guru.

Finally - here is a clip from a movie wedding scene.
A want to send a big thanks out to my friend TJ for his help this weekend. He had a rough flight in on Thursday, but so far his trip home looks OK. It was a blast shooting with you (as always) and I look forward to doing it again soon! I'm sure TJ will have some shots on his blog soon so make sure to check it out.
It was a pretty late night so I have just a few shots from Beth & Dan's wedding at The Lighthouse at Chelsea Piers. It was a blast and I promise more to come soon....
After a 15 hour trip including an unscheduled 4 hour layover in Washington D.C., my friend TJ Cameron was able to squeeze himself on a flight to JFK airport which landed around midnight Thursday evening.
He is in town shooting Beth and Dan's wedding with me - and last night made the long journey well worth the trip.
We started the first night of their celebration "schmaltzing" it up at Sammy's Roumanian. If you want to learn more about Schmaltz you MUST click here for a great movie about this NYC institution.
Being from the west coast, I don't think TJ has seen this much meat or grease at once ever before in his life. Poor guy might have to go into detox when he returns home - good thing it's a short trip. :)
Here are a few photos from last night - check back later for pictures from their wedding at the fabulous Lighthouse at Chelsea Piers.
It was on the same bench pictured above where Robert got down on one knee and asked Julie to marry him just months earlier. What a pretty spot. Nice job man. :)
After their beautiful wedding ceremony at St. Joseph's church, we rung in the New Year at Moran's. It was the perfect setting for a winter wedding - complete with cozy warm fireplaces.
Click here for Robert and Julie's slideshow. We were fortunate to have such mild weather which allowed us to get some great shots on the city streets. It was the warmest December in NY on record!
Thanks for such a fun night!!
I am off to the airport to pick up one of the west coast's hottest photographers, my friend TJ Cameron. He will be helping me shoot Beth and Dan's wedding at The lighthouse at Chelsea Piers this weekend. Tomorrow night they are having their rehearsal dinner at Sammy's Roumanian, check back for pictures from this fun venue.
Well, at least I think so - and it involves two of my favorite things. Weddings and Football.
If you have not heard the story about Ian Johnson's proposal to Chrissy Popadics after Boise State beat Oklahoma, take five minutes and watch this story:
I was so excited to watch this game! Unfortunately, I fell asleep in the middle of the fourth quarter. Of course, the next morning I see it was the greatest bowl game in history and I missed it! They also mention something about a marriage proposal..... oh, that's nice and I don't think anything of it.
Later that day, I am reading another photographer's blog (yes, we are giant dorks) and he is also talking about this great marriage proposal.
In a nutshell - this Boise State guy not only is the star running back, he scored the 2 point conversion to win the greatest game in their school's history! As if that is not enough, he loves to crochet! Wait... it gets better, his girlfriend (now fiance), Chrissy Popadics is the head cheerleader. I love it! More importantly, she is from New Jersey, which just makes it better. :)
Chrissy - I know there are lot of people who want to be the photographer at your wedding including Becker, but 'ya gotta go with the Jersey guy!
OK - so this is officially the LAST engagement shoot of 2006. :)
On the last Saturday afternoon of the year, I met Diane and Blake at Rockefeller Center where they are having their wedding in June. Scarlett had never been there, so we took a few minutes (and a few photos) from inside 30 Rock. Of course, you don't have to ask me twice - the view from the 65th floor is STUNNING. There are not many more romantic views than the view at night from the top O' the rock! I can't wait to come back in June!
While I was shooting, I asked Scarlett if she would take some footage of me while I photographed Diane and Blake. She is helping me put together a promo video for my new website. I can honestly say that being on the other side of the camera was very difficult - poor Scarlett had a very tough subject! :) Thanks Diane and Blake for helping me out!!
Here are a few photos...Make sure to check out the new "look" for their Slideshow.
At the risk of sounding like a broken record, I have to say thanks, again to my buddy Luke Walker, who referred me to Diane and Blake. Thanks man. :)
I know there are some people dying to see more shots from Julie and Robert's NYE wedding - soon I promise! In the meantime I just noticed Luke has put some images up on his blog....
I am sure Alisha will too - no pressure Alisha. :) Either way, you have to check out the Church shots she just posted - killer!!
Last Thursday I met Kristin and Joe at Central Park for an engagement shoot. They were engaged just a few weeks ago and have not set a date, but were eager to get some pictures taken.
And yes,I know I have been saying "Wow - can you believe this weather?" and "This should be the last engagement shoot until next year", but I never expected it to almost 60 degrees on December 28th. I can say with some confidence - THIS will be one of last of 2006. :)
Happy New Year everyone! Wow, I have to say this year has certainly flown by, and I have had the pleasure of photographing some fabulous weddings! Yesterday was no exception - and you have to admit, a New Year's wedding is one you can't forget.
Big time thanks to my good friends Alisha Clark and Luke Walker for helping me yesterday. As always we have such a great time working (and hanging out) together. It comes as no surprise to say they took some AMAZING pictures. I look forward to our "adventures" in 2007! :)
We also had the pleasure of Scarlett Williams (and her cousin Becky) up from Jacksonsville shooting video with us at the wedding. I could not think of a more fun crew to bring in '07 with!
Make sure to check our blogs soon for more shots from Julie and Robert's wedding. Here's one of my favorites -
