Weekend with friends

We had a great weeekend in T-town (that's Tunkhannock, PA for those of you not in the know) visiting our friends Chris, Anne and their family. The main event was baby Sarah's baptism on Sunday. The weather was fabulous so we got to have some playtime outdoors with Paul (7), Elizabeth (5) and Nicholas (2 in January). I also got to do some shooting - the kids were great subjects! We were all excited for the the big ND/USC game on Saturday night. Unfortunately, the Irish didn't beat the Trojans, but baby Sarah was a real champ on Sunday during her baptism - no crying!

Laura and Gordon

Sunday I met Laura and Gordon at their new apartment for their engagement shoot. We then walked over to the Grammercy park area for a few pictures in the neighborhood. Click here for Laura and Gordon's slideshow

I am keeping my fingers crossed for a balmy day for their February wedding which is just around the corner.

Have a great Thanksgiving everyone!

Seven years!

It seems like yesterday Elizabeth and I were planning our own wedding. I can't believe it has been seven years! So I thought it would only be appropriate to post one of my own wedding photos. I only had this one on file (unfortunately, we were still shooting film back then) so if I get a chance I will scan a few more -- Happy anniversary Elizabeth!

They'll take Manhattan!

As Jason's wife -- I am very excited to 'guest post' his blog today! I am even more excited to share the engagement pics of our good friends Kate and Huey. Kate and I were college roommates and she is actually responsible for setting Jason and I up! I guess she knew my type ;) Needless to say, I owe her big.

In the spirit of paybacks, Jason, Kate & Huey got together for a couple of hours last week to shoot some engagement pics. I may be biased, but I think Jason did a fabulous job! Of course, he couldn't have had two better subjects in Kate and Huey. I'm so happy for you guys and your happiness clearly comes through in these pics! Can't wait for the big day!

8AM @ the Bethesda Fountain? Yikes!

I'll admit it, I don't like to get up early! Early Saturday morning I met Gina (whose wedding I photographed in June '05) and some of her friends in Central Park for one of my "Groupp" photo sessions. The parents were quick to point out to me that 8AM is going to seem like lunchtime soon enough! :)

Thanks to everyone yesterday, I really enjoyed meeting all of you and thanks for all the advice! I am going to need it soon!

How cute are these kids??!!!

A day at Disney.

Over the years I have had the opportunity to photograph some very cool events. From football games to weddings in exotic locales, over-the-top christmas parties to celebrity filled charity events.

However - none of them were as rewarding as the day I just spent down in Orlando shooting my first "Family-moon". Never have I been so happy to be part of something so special. Thanks Careyanne, Chris, Renae, Matty, Joel, Nathaniel and Phoebe for having me along!

Hanging with Grandma.

I have to admit, this is one of my favorite pictures EVER. Taken with my camera over my head while riding on space mountain! :)

....with a little help from my friends.

Last week while chatting with my friend Roberto Falck he mentioned that he had an awesome wedding this weekend and would I be interested in joining him. I said I would, but I had a wedding with Shari and Josh on Sunday, and I have quite a bit of work to catch up on. A couple of days later I ran into Roberto again at the Photo Expo (giant photo show in NYC) and he asked again - "Hey, want to join me Saturday?", with a smile on his face. I could tell he really wanted me along, so how could I say no. :)

I am so glad I did! I think we covered most of Manhattan, and it was a little chilly, but I had a blast! Make sure to check his blog for some of his photos.

Sunday morning I met up with my favorite duo Shari and Josh, joined by Jennifer Davis at Tribeca Rooftop for another beautiful wedding. Shari is due in January so they asked me along to help out - I can't imagine doing this job while being pregnant. You ROCK Shari, I don't think you missed a step! Fortunately, for November we have been having AWESOME weather.

How cool is that last shot? That graffiti is real! I am convinced a wedding photographer did that. :)

In this business we only get one chance to do a GREAT job. And - I think it is important to mention that there are times we need a little help from our friends. Not only do we inspire and share ideas with each other, we have each other to depend on no matter what. Thanks everyone!
