I love this city! The city that never sleeps.

Once a month my studio mate, Chris Lee and I have been hosting a friendly poker game (anyone interested let me know!), and it has been lots of fun. One thing we did not anticipate is how late each night goes, somehow we always lose track of time. It is always a great bunch, depending on who is around, and last night was no exception - my friends, Luke Walker, and Frank Dimeo joined us for the game. They invited Mike Colon, who was in town from California shooting some runway shows and bridal events. During the game, Mike had lined up an impromptu late night photo shoot and asked if we wanted to join him- how could I say no, it was only 1AM? :) We cashed out, and grabbed our gear.

Talk about a late night - we ended up back at the studio at 4AM! Here are a few of the fun shots from the night, it has been a long time since I had walked around so late at night in town. The city always takes on such a different vibe - so quiet it is almost eerie. In this first shot Mike grabs a seat while shooting Brittany (photo below) - a sanitation worker decides to see whats going on. I love this shot, thanks for a fun night! :)

A few more from last night on the street. For me these are always the most fun, there are never 2 photos alike. More soon!

Why is this night different from all other nights?

Well - mainly because it is the first night of Passover, but these were the four questions Jamie and Jeffrey were asking:

Was that shot good?
How about that one?
Should I be smiling?
Do you think we take good pictures?

I think the answer to all of those questions is - YES!

It was yet another beautiful day in Central Park, and I think half of the city was out there with us. Here are a few pics from todays shoot - more later!

Ilysia and Evan

One of the reasons I love to do engagement shoots with my clients is it gives me a chance to really get to know them, and learn more about their wedding day. While we are shooting it is fun to talk about their plans - there are always so many details, from timing of the hair and make-up to the last bus taking the guests back to the hotel.

This way when it comes to the wedding day I really feel like I know everything that is going on, and that really helps me give my clients the shots they are looking for. Also - we can do these shoots "weather permitting", so I can guarantee great NYC shots!! Here are a few more - thanks Ilysia and Evan for a fun night!!

Loft 11 - NYC

One of the reasons I love to shoot at Loft 11 and Penthouse 15 is the amazing light that comes through the windows. Here are a few shots from the ceremony last night. Check back later for more of Laura and Scott's wedding over the next couple of days, I know they are big fans of the blog so i will continue to "tease" them, especially since I know they don't leave for their honeymoon for 2 weeks! :)
