One of the reasons we like to take pictures is so we can share our memories with our friends. This poor woman lost her camera on vacation, and then it is found. Here is her story and a creative solution for trying to recover her memories. Lost Camera

Portrait by Chris Lee
I jumped in on one of Chris' portait shoots the other day, I figured it was time for a "studio shot" of me for the website. Thanks Chris! Speaking of which, here is an interesting article from NY Times about self portraits. Could this be the end of Wedding Photographers? :)

AFIPO
Last night I photographed an event for the American Friends of the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra. This was the second year I had been asked to asked to help out by my studio partner Chris Lee, who photographs many of these kinds of events and concerts. It was fun to shoot this party again because there a always a few of my wedding clients there. Here a few of my pictures from last night, Chris and I will post more pictures later so check back soon!
Here are a couple of Chris's pictures.

Meet Maya.
Maya came to visit me in the studio yesterday (look at that face!!) with her Mom Ophira, one of my favorite clients. Here are a couple of photos from Ophira and Joram's wedding three years ago.
We were going over some final prints for her Mom's album (Maya's grandmother) - three years later you ask? Well sometimes time gets away from us. :) As a small studio I love being able to give each client the personal attention they need, even years later.
While we were going through the prints, Ophira asked when I was going to start doing family pictures? I smiled and said funny you should ask, that I had been been doing some thinking about it. She mentioned I should check out her Blog, Maya's Papaya where she had done some research on Photographers and other fun stuff. I look forward to seeing more pictures of Maya there, maybe they will be mine!
I would love to hear everyone thoughts (especially past clients of mine) on this topic!

Central park in the snow.
I cannot remember the last time we had such warm weather on Valentine's day, especially two days after the biggest blizzard in NYC history! What a fun shoot! I do not usually have too many engagement shoots this time of year, but having the opportunity to shoot in Central Park in the snow is always fun. Here are a few shots from today's shoot, check back tomorrow for more!

Blue Skies.
I worked one summer in my Dad's union while I was college, one of the sites had an elevator like this one - 60 stories high! It was like the most frightening roller coaster you have ever been on, except this was for real. I worked VERY hard when I returned to college the next year. The thought of riding one of these for more than one summer was enough for me!

This one is for you Luke.
I have been driving past this sign every now and again, and it always catches my eye. My friend Luke Walker (who is also a Photographer - http://www.lukewalkerphotography.com/) has been looking for locations to shoot in this area, and I think this one would perfect. Plus - if he decides to shoot on Wednesday he can even have Steak afterwards. :)
I really need to shoot this on a rainy night - so check back for more on this...
i do. ipod.
How would you like to have all your photos on a video ipod?
This is a brand new option I will be offering to my clients this year. As an option, I will load a slideshow and some photos from the day to your brand new His and Her video ipods the night of the wedding for you to take on your honeymoon. When you return, I will load all of pictures to your ipods at that time.

Welcome to my first post! After much procrastination I have finally set up my first blogpage. The purpose of this "project" is to keep myself and others up to date on current events in the studio.
I would also like to use this page to give myself a simple photo assignment. 1 photo per day - no rules. I have always wanted to challenge myself to do this as a way to sharpen my observation skills as a Photographer. I will start with my favorite image from 2005, meet CQ, my Mom's black Lab, seen here doing one of his favorite things, retrieving frisbees. I am sure he will be a favorite subject of mine, check back daily to see new photos.....
